The boys first game in a couple of weeks and it showed in the first half.
Without training either, due to the state of the ground at Willowbrook, it seemed as though the boys had just met for the first time.
No tackling, No organization, no communication!
Harlow ran around the Bee's for several first half tries.
Billericay did have good phases of play but trying to off load a wet greasy ball to no one in particular undid the good work and turnovers result in tries. Several times this happened but to the boys credit they did not let their heads drop.
They did have plenty of ball to work with. Dominating scrums, rucks and mauls. Harlow living off scraps.
For a majority of this group playing up a year it is going to be a harsh lesson. But silly mistakes can be stopped.
Half time they boys were asked to stop the silly offloads and go to floor with the ball to provide a ruck for the forwards to hit. Keep the ball close and go forward. They were left to chat and organize themselves and asked to turn up.
Well they did that alright!
Different half, different team.
