An excellent day off the pitch with a successful Tour Fundraiser organised and delivered by a group of parents (thank you parents, you know who you are !) and the visit of the Saracens Roadshow and the three pieces of silverware they brought with them.
Billericay U14s played Old Brentwoods last season at U13 level in the cup and they were a very well drilled team then and they were equally well drilled and committed in the match at Willowbrook. Their organisation especially in defence was very well executed and going forward they were very ruthless with any missed tackles.
Billericay U14s are a resilient group though, after a regroup at half time, they improved their discipline and tackling and kept going to the end. It was a hard lesson for the boys, especially after the excellent performance vs Benfleet, but this is what rugby is all about, taking the good days and bad days with equal humility and moving on to the next match.
