Bees show great improvements and 'never say die' spirit in entertaining match

Squad: Taylor, Josh, Sam, Thomas, Harry D, Frye, Archie, Toby G, Joseph, Lennon, Ted, Conor, Harry S, Charlie, Lucas, Louis

A squad of 16 Bees hosted our friends from Westcliff on a scorching hot 'Indian summer' afternoon at Willowbrook.
The U14s were looking to build upon last weeks efforts at Basildon and push on and they certainly did that with an improved performance from every player in the team.
Westcliff were the quicker to settle into the match and a combination of of missed Billericay tackles and strong running from one of the very pacy and strong Westcliff backs and the visitors got themselves two tries in front.
Billericay responded really well and started to make inroads into the Westcliff half, a very cheeky 'kick and chase' from fly half Harry S fell nicely in the Westcliff in goal area and Billericay had their first try of the season!
Westcliff responded again with another try but the Billericay boys kept their heads up and kept going.
The second half was very close and Billericay were pushing hard to 'win the half', a couple of knocks for the Billericay boys upset their rhythm somewhat and Westcliff fed their key player again for him to slip through despite some great efforts from Billericay to stop his progress.
The Bees managed to register another fine try with Thomas bursting through the Westcliff defence to feed winger Harry D at the right moment to dot down.
Lots of improvements from the previous week, lots to be really proud of especially the 'keep going' attitude, lets build on that and go on to the next match boys !
Well done again
