Billericay U13 v Chelmsford U13 16/12/18

The Billericay U13s finished off 2018 in style with an excellent 35-30 win over Chelmsford U13 in a very competitive development match. The match was played in an excellent spirit throughout and the feedback from the Chelmsford coaches and parents was very positive and good to hear. Billericay started very strongly and took a commanding lead, using the downhill slope to their advantage. The pressing and defensive line work which they had been working on with the coaches on Tuesdays really paid off and the improvements in line speed and defence were the big positives to come out of todays match. The second half was more even and the teams traded tries with Chelmsford fighting hard to get within a single score. Billericay kept the pressure up and held on to claim a very satisfying win.
Well done to all the boys who played today and thankyou to the boys unable to play due to injury who came along to support their team mates
