Under 12's winning roll continues.

Game 1: Colchester 5 : Billericay 30

The game started with a Colchester kick off which saw Billericay carry the ball deep into their opponents half. This set the pattern for large parts of the 1st half, with the Bees camped in their opponents half without being able to convert territorial advantage into points. Just before the end of the first period Max Morris pick up a loose ball and powered his way towards the try line breaking several tackles before off-loading to Max Forster to go over the line for the first try of the game. Great defensive pressure from Colchester and Billericay’s panic passing in the latter stages of the 1st half saw 2 possible opportunities to score wasted.

The second half started in pretty much the same vain as the first with Billericay dominating territory and possession. After 4 minutes Max Morris, playing at No 8, pick the ball up at the base of the scrum and drove over the line for the Bees second try. An attempted clearance from within the Bees 22 went straight to the Colchester full back who ran the ball over for their only score of the day. Bees immediately replied with Max Morris catching from the restart and driving straight at the heart of the Colchester defence drawing in defenders creating space for Tom Hollaman to score. Max Forster then picked up a loose ball near the half way line and ran in great individual try. As the Colchester defence began to tire the Bees started moving the ball through the hands getting the ball out to the wing for George Durham to use his speed and agility. Within the space of a couple of minutes George ran in two tries.

Game 2: Colchester 0 : Billericay 15

The first period of the second game saw the Bees dominate possession without being able to break through Colchester’s defence.

Five minutes into the second half Max Morris put in a heavy tackle, the ball was spilt allowing a quick thinking Oscar Harman to pick up score. After a spell of forward pressure Max Forster ran straight through the Colchester defence for try No 2. The last play of the day saw Billericay form a maul that drove several meters towards the opposition try line. The ball was taken out the maul by Oscar Harman who made a dart for the line before off loading to Jonny Wyndham who went over the line for the Bees third try.

Man of the match was awarded to scrum half Joseph Snoxall who put in great work at the breakdown giving great ball to a well organised set of backs.
