Early start with England game, Posh coffee and Princess Bees first game of the season

The weekend started early with the England game at being shown on the big screen at the clubhouse. With posh coffee, bacon and sausage rolls and a Scotsman serving behind the bar what more could you desire to start the weekend.

This was followed by the Princess Bees (Girls team ages 13 and above) first game of the season and only second ever game. We hosted Basildon who we played for the 2nd time.
Sharing players ensured that all the girls got to play for the whole match. The game was great to watch and was well supported by both Billericay and Basildon supporters. All the girls enjoyed the game and it was a learning opportunity as with all games you learn so much from playing matches.

Sunday saw an early start for the baby bees, a lot of rain, a change of plans and a small bit of sunshine. For some age groups, they were able to avoid the rain for others it got a bit damp.

Up and coming events

England v France - Next Saturday, the game will be on at the club and posh coffee and food will be available.

Visit from Saracens next Sunday
On Sunday we will be welcoming one of the current Saracens Academy squad to Willowbrook to get involved with our Mini Training sessions that day, they will visit all the age groups and will be happy to get involved with the boys and girls, give some playing and coaching tips and be happy to take photos with the kids, coaches and parents, so please give them a warm Billericay Bees welcome and show them what we can do!

We had a visit 2 years ago from Saracens Academy Player Oli Morris, Oli has since moved on to the Worcester Warriors, but he had a great day with us on his visit and the Billericay Bees made him really welcome, attached is a picture of him with our 2017-2018 U12 team.

The Saracens Academy is regarded as one of the best in world rugby and academy graduates include England players such as Owen Farrell, George Kruis and Jamie George.

Club President Scott Fisher will be escorting our guest around the various age groups and will do all the introductions.
