The season is upon us, The Bees Knees Ball and England v Tonga

We hope everyone has enjoyed their summer and is looking forward a new season at Billericay RFC .

The 1st and 2nd Team have started their Preseason friendlies and have had 2 matches in the last 2 weeks. In both games Billericay performed exceptionally well and are putting into practice all the training they have completed over summer. Both opposition team provided a challenge with both Basildon and Barking putting out strong squads.

Photos and video of the games can be found at

Registration Day
It was back to rugby for the whole Junior section of the club from Baby Bees to Under 18's.
It was great to see so many people at registration day especially good to see new faces as well as returning players and parents.
Registration obviously does not stop through out September so don’t worry if you could not make it, we will be there next week.
This year we are trying to utilize the GMS registration website managed by the RFU, one of the features that we are asking people to use is the ability to pay member ship online as well as Parents updating their child's details online via GMS. Your team managers will tell you in more detail about how you can do this, but there is also information on our website. Any questions please do not hesitate to ask.

As the Junior section continues to grow we have asked for more help and support from current and ex senior players. Thanks to those who came along and helped out the coaches and volunteers. The under 9’s would like to thank Lee Barry and Chris Goldsmith for their help on Sunday. Lee also helped out with the Under 17’s both with coaching and refereeing their touch game against the U18’s so his help was much appreciated. Thanks also to Glen Patullo and family who help both in the Kitchen and with coaching.

There were many volunteers on Sunday and we would like to thanks everyone that helped out, we could not have done it without you.

Welcome booklet
Our thanks goes to Freddie Bayliss and Taylor Adams who sent us designs for the cover. We have drawn inspiration from both of their designs in producing the front cover. We have tried this year to provide some more information within the booklet so it is worth a read.
Our thanks also goes to Keith Young of Black Square Litho in Billericay who printed the booklet, if you need a printer do not hesitate to contact them.

Social Updates

Bee's Knees Ball Friday 8th November at The Burstead Golf Club
A new venue for this year and we have moved it earlier in the year. Full details can be found below, tickets are strictly limited to 100 and expect to be sold out quickly. Since the weekend we have already had around 30 sold so get in quick.

Rugby world cup – England v Tonga
Date Sunday 22nd November, Kick off 11.15am , Venue - Inn on the Green
We are unable to show the England v Tonga game at the club on the 22nd.
So we have arranged for the Inn on the Green to host us.
Adults and children are all welcome.
We are looking at changing the training times for Mini's and Juniors to ensure people have time to get to the Inn on the Green.
In addition we are hoping to arrange for the worlds fastest tuk tuk to be at the club, so for a charitable donation you may be able to get a lift to the pub.
To properly plan we will need to give the pub an estimate of the number of people who will or may be attending, so please click on this link and complete the survey, so we can gauge numbers.

Enjoy the rest of the week and see you either at training or next weekend
