Monday 24th June 7.30pm at the club

Everyone is cordially invited to the club AGM, starting at 7.30 pm on the 24th June at the club house.

At the AGM we will primarily be looking forward to what the club is hoping to achieve over the next 12 months and beyond.

In line with the club constitution all club roles/positions will be up for renewal. To ensure the continued success and survival of the club we would like to have more volunteers. The list of roles and responsibilities that we are looking to fill is on the below linked document. As you will see this includes details of the current person and the nominees for this year. These are only the nominees we currently know of, nominations can be made prior to the AGM as well as at the AGM itself. If you wish to nominate yourself or someone else for a role please email before the AGM or nominations can be accepted on the night.

Where there are multiple nominations for a position, a vote will take place at the AGM. We may have to leave certain roles vacant if we have no nominations for those positions.

Not all roles require you to attend regular meetings. The Main 2 groups who meet on regular basis (normally monthly) are;

Management Committee
The below are the roles that form the management committee, the committee is required by the constitution to have at least 10 meetings a year.
Chairman, President, Club Secretary, Facilities Manager, Volunteer Co-Ordinator, Development Manager and Treasurer.

The other group that meet on a monthly basis are the Junior Section Group. This includes Junior Chairman, Junior Secretary, Team managers, Safeguarding officer, Volunteer Co-Ordinator, Junior Social secretary.

In addition we are looking to trial a new initiative which is the establishment of support groups. The aim is for the support groups to be made up of individuals who have volunteered to help with a certain aspect of the club.
The 2 groups we are initially looking to recruit for are the Social support group and the Facilities support group.
The idea of the support group is just an initial group of individuals who the support group leader can contact to look for assistance. The benefit of a group rather than relying solely on 1 individual means we can spread the help across individuals and those volunteers can help where and when they can.

In Practise this may be helping with organising a certain social event, or helping with pitch maintenance a couple of times a month. We understand that people can not always commit to giving up a regular amount of time so this means people can help when and where they can, and this obviously benefits the club.

Finally the AGM is also a chance for people to ask questions, seek clarification or suggest ideas. Although these things can be done at anytime its an opportunity to put names to faces and bring together members from all the different groups within the club.
