As a partner club of Saracens, Billericay were allocated a block in the South Stand so that the whole club was able to get together and watch a top class Premiership Rugby match featuring a large number of international stars on both sides just returned from Six Nations duty.

The Billericay Bees were awarded the duties of carrying out the Guard of Honour and carrying the Big Shirt in the centre of the pitch as part of the build up to kick off in front of over 55,000 fans and a Premiership Rugby TV record of 1.5 million viewers!!!

An amazing experience for our young players and incredible memories for those involved and present in the stadium watching on.

The match itself was a classic, with both sides running in some outstanding tries and playing some fantastic rugby, Saracens edged it 36-24 and secured themselves a home semi final ahead of the Premiership play-off.

The top 23 partner clubs in terms of ticket sales for the match had their club badge on a Saracens players shirt. Billericay's badge was worn by Number 8, England international Billy Vunipola who was also awarded the Player of the Match!

Thank you to all the Bees who took part for their excellent behaviour on the day and for doing such a great job on the pitch, you were a credit to the club and your families.

Showdown 4 will be at the same venue on the same weekend next year, Billericay RFC will again be there in force, get the date in your diaries now!
