Earlier this season, we introduced the proposal for Billericay RFC to transition into a limited company. It is our intention for this change to take effect from the date of the upcoming AGM.

In addition to this structural change, the committee has been working on ambitious plans to significantly improve our facilities. These include:

Extending the clubhouse
Increasing the number of changing rooms and adding a referees' room
Expanding the clubhouse area
Enhancing the kitchen and bar facilities
Introducing a dedicated merchandise room
Installing a disabled lift to improve accessibility

It is our intention to present these plans in full at the AGM.

In order to proceed with the constitutional changes required for this transition, an Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) must first be held. This meeting will be the initial step in formally dissolving Billericay RFC and establishing Billericay Rugby Football Club Limited.

Should the members approve this proposal, the current committee will be formally thanked and dissolved. A new committee for Billericay Rugby Football Club Limited will then be elected through a voting process.

We encourage all members to attend, engage with the process, and help shape the future of the club.

ALL roles are available, the committee roles are the only ones that are voted on, so if there is a role you feel you could help with please put down which this is so we can get you involved. If it's a committee position and the current member or other members wish to stand too then we will hold a vote at the AGM, this will be your chance to state why you should be best placed to take that role on and members present on the day can then vote for the person to take the role on. In the event of the vote being level, the chair has casting vote, unless it is for the chair position and the current chair is up for the position in which case the secretary will be casting vote.
